John Eggers Obituary

John Douglas Eggers, died on August 8, 2024, at Bridginglife's Dove House. He was born on August 29, 1960, to Douglas B. and the late Carol Eggers. He was the loving husband of 30 years to Tara Eggers. John grew up in Laurel and graduated from Laurel High School, Class of 1978. He went on to graduate with a degree from South Dakota State University. He was an owner of Chesapeake Supply & Equipment Company in Jessup, MD. Over the years, John enjoyed white water canoeing, camping, skiing and hunting. In addition to his wife, John is survived by his son Jake W. Eggers; his father Douglas Eggers; sisters Barbara Eggers, Tracy Eggers, and Kate Ailor (Eggers); sister-in-law Tina McIntosh and brother-in-law Dennis Delger along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. In addition to his mother, he was predeceased by his sister, Jean Delger and father-in-law and mother-in-law Ralph and Betty Warren. The family would like to give special thanks to his nurses and caregivers at Carroll Hospital and Bridginglife's Dove House. There will be a memorial of life service held at a date to be announced at St. Joseph Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Road, Eldersburg, MD. At his wife, Tara's request, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Heart Association. Online condolences may be offered at www.haightfuneralhome.com
