On Wednesday, May 24th our beloved son Kavan Hardy passed away. He was 21 years old. Kavan was born on Thursday, March 7, 2002, at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC. For most of his life he grew up in Upper Marlboro, MD with his mother, Shaketa Maria Ray, father, Kimani Hardy, and baby sister whom he spoiled since first meeting, Taylor Hardy. He adored his two dogs Sasuke, and Cocoa. Kavan attended Mt. Calvary Catholic School, transferred to Mattaponi Elementary, and graduated middle school from Gwynn Park.
In 2017 Kavan relocated to Richmond, VA with his mother and sister. During his time living in Virginia, Kavan gained new loving family members and friends including stepfather, Stanley Ray, brothers Ian and Greyson Ray, and sisters Naiya and Nadia Ray. He attended grades 10 through 12 at Glen Allen High. After graduation Kavan completed a few semesters at Virginia State University.
Kavan had many hobbies, including writing songs or poetry, drawing, watching Anime, playing basketball, working out at the gym, and of course spending time with his one true love, MUSIC!
A funeral service will be held at Beall Funeral Home, 6512 Crain Hwy, Bowie, MD 20715, on June 10th. Visitation begins at 10:00 a.m. with service at 11:00 a.m. followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, MD.
