Laurel L. Scott, 76, of Glen Burnie, passed away on January 4, 2025. She was born in Herminie, PA, to the late Frank and Gloria Cipra. She worked at Anne Arundel Medical Center and retired after 43 years of service. Laurel was actively involved with cub scouts and boy scouts, troops 887 and 911. She enjoyed ballroom dancing with her husband, snow skiing with her family and spending time at the condo in Ocean City. She also enjoyed cooking, trying new recipes and reading romance novels. Laurel’s greatest passion was traveling; she went on forty-eight cruises, visiting many countries and islands. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, Norbert Scott; and one sister.
Laurel is survived by her two sons, two grandchildren and four siblings.
The family will receive visitors at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, Glen Burnie, on Friday, January 10th, from 12 - 2 and 4 - 7 PM. A celebration of life service will be held at 4 PM in the funeral home chapel.
