Ruth Elizabeth Gibb, 87, passed away at Autumn Lake Waugh Chapel on October 31, 2024. Ruth was born on June 24, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Isabelle and Edward Hall. She worked as a housekeeper for North Arundel Hospital (now Baltimore Washington Medical Center) for 20 years, and was a deaconess at Linthicum Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed drawing, painting, fishing, and boating. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her devoted husband of 61 years, Lynwood T. Gibb Sr., and her dear siblings, Robert Edward Hall and Jean Semons. She is survived by her beloved children, Lynwood Gibb Jr., and Lawrence Gibb and wife Meredith Gibb; her cherished grandchildren, Kristen “Kris” Antone and Ray Allyn Gibb. Additionally, she is survived by her lifelong best friend, Gladys Martel and family.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W.,(at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061, on Wednesday, November 6, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, November 7, at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Her Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Meadowridge Memorial Park in Elkridge.
