Sun H. Schaeffer, 69 of Severn passed away on January 5, 2025. Sun was born on November 30, 1955 in South Korea. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Kenneth P. Schaeffer. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Jacquline Schaeffer-Sisk; her cherished grandsons, Ryan and Mason Schaeffer-Sisk and her loving sister, Kim Seyfert and her husband (Charles).
Sun's impressive career spanned 24 years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, where she contributed her skills and knowledge to serve her country with utmost integrity and commitment. Beyond her professional achievements, Sun was a nurturing soul who poured her energy into her family. Her love for cooking brought her family together, filling their home with delicious aromas and cherished memories. Sun’s enthusiasm for gardening allowed her to cultivate not only flowers and vegetables but also a vibrant sanctuary that reflected her personality and warmth. Her adventurous spirit shone through with her love of cruising, where she delighted in exploring new destinations and creating lasting memories with friends and loved ones. Sun’s devotion to her family and her capacity for care was evident in everything she did, as she always strived to ensure their happiness and well-being.
Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, P.A., 1 2nd Avenue, S.W. (at Crain Hwy), in Glen Burnie, on Sunday, January 12th from 2-4 & 6-8 pm. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, January 13th at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sun’s name are requested to be made to the American Lung Association at www.lung.org
