Vivian M. Dougherty

Vivian Mildred Dougherty, 101 years, of Woodstock, MD, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, July 28, 2025. She was born on November 21, 1923, in Washington, DC to the late Charles M. and Sadie J. Stewart. She was the devoted wife of the late Stanley Stradic Dougherty who died in 1996. Vivian had worked as a bookkeeper for many years. Her passions were taking care of babies, animals and serving her God. She was a longtime member of Grace Bible Baptist Church, Catonsville, where she served by teaching children in Awana, visiting those in nursing homes and sharing God's word, driving people to appointments and assisting however she could to glorify God. She is survived by sons: Cris S. Dougherty and wife Rita of Woodstock, MD and Lester S. Dougherty and wife Joan of Washington and daughter Dorothy "DeDe" Trail and husband Larry of Ashton, MD; grandchildren: Jake Dougherty (Heather), Casey Dougherty (Kristin), Amber Brink (Wayne), Erin Matkin (Tommy), Michael Trail, Megan Trail and Ian Trail. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Chloe Brink, Arlin and Raia Dougherty, and Zachary and Bradly Reed. She was predeceased by daughter Elaine Bigelow. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM on Sunday, August 10, 2025, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD. The family will also receive friends from 11:30 AM to 12 PM on Monday August 11, 2025, at Grace Bible Baptist Church, 1518 N. Rolling Road, Catonsville, MD where a service will follow at 12 PM.
