Jay Fosbrink Obituary
He was born Nov. 11, 1974 in Seymour to Jerry Fosbrink and Jaynie Moss Fosbrink McKain. On Aug. 27, 2005 in Medora, he married Joanna Russell, and she survives.
Mr. Fosbrink was a self-employed taxidermist. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a passionate outdoor person. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.
He was also a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Whitecreek.
Survivors include his father, Jerry Fosbrink; stepmother, Janet Fosbrink; mother, Jaynie Moss Fosbrink McKain; stepfather, Sonny McKain; one daughter, Jayla Grace Fosbrink, Medora; in-laws Kevin and Brenda Russell; one brother, Jesse Fosbrink, Columbus; two half-brothers, David Fosbrink and Luke Fosbrink, both of Columbus; one step brother, Michael Hayes, Gainesville, Fla.; two step sisters, Amy Henson, Brownstown, and Beth Wilson, Evansville; one nephew, Derrick Fosbrink, Seymour; paternal grandmother, Ruby Fosbrink, Brownstown; and maternal grandparents Pierce and Martha Moss, Seymour.
Paternal grandfather Alvin Fosbrink preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, April 24 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with pastor Jeff Patterson officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 23 and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to a family scholarship.
