James Edwin Lancaster, 73, of Brunswick, Georgia, passed away on Monday, Oct. 4, 2021.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah at 2:00 p.m.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Lancaster was born March 10, 1948, in Savannah, Georgia, son of James Edwin and Lorraine Mulligan Lancaster.

He enlisted in the National Guard, then worked for Georgia Power/Southern Co. most of his career. Upon retiring from Southern Co., he was employed as a contractor for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center before going into full-time retirement.

His greatest joys in life were his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Lancaster; his sons and their families, Shane and Donnell Lancaster of Mableton, Georgia, Josh and Heather Lancaster and their daughter, Ramie Smith and Savannah Lancaster, all of Brunswick, Georgia, Nick and Jennine Lancaster and their son, Landon Lancaster, all of Dumfries, Virginia; two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.

He walked with God in life and is now with Him eternally.

Pam, I was so sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. My thoughts are with you, your boys, and their families. I'm grateful that I was able to see you and Eddie when we had lunch with Susan and Charles the weekend of our 50th reunion.
