Bernice Eloise Quattlebaum, 100, of Conway, Arkansas, was born March 12, 1922, in McRae, Arkansas, to William and Dorothy Tedford and she passed away on Feb. 1, 2023.
Bernice married Dillon Quattlebaum on Dec. 20, 1939, in Searcy, Arkansas, and they were married 69 years. Dillon and Bernice moved to Lancaster, California, in 1950 where they lived for 27 years, raising their three sons. They returned to Arkansas in 1977 and resided in Conway.
Bernice was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Conway, Arkansas. She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved reading, sewing, and watching the Dodgers and the Razorbacks. She was always striving to serve the Lord and others.
Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, Dillon Quattlebaum. She is survived by her three sons, Eddie Quattlebaum of El Paso, Arkansas, Jerry Quattlebaum and wife, Nora, of El Paso, Arkansas, and Philip Quattlebaum and wife, Alba, of Huntsville, Alabama; sister, LaDell Howell of Arizona; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
There will be a 1 p.m. graveside service on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, at Blasingame Cemetery in El Paso, Arkansas.
