Fabian Anthony Dussex, 94 years old "not bad for an old man" went to be with the Lord on July 23, 2022. He was born Jan. 26, 1928, to his parents, Frank A. and Isaline (Mayor) Dussex.
Fabian was a lifelong citizen of Conway, Arkansas, where he raised his family with his loving wife, Bernice Hamling Dussex. The two were married for 46 years until her death, March 8, 1994.
He worked as a plumber for Hiegel Lumber Company for many years, also in sales for Fox Brothers Hardware and was still employed at Hiegel Supply Company until his passing.
Fabian was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Conway, where he ushered for over 70 years. He was member of the Catholic Knights of America and a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepdad, Mike Dumboski; his son, Robert Dussex; and his wife, Bernice.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Frank (Terry) Dussex of Conway, Arkansas, Jerry (Jeannie) Dussex of Longview, Texas; daughter, Patsy Snyder of Conway, Arkansas; grandchildren, Amy (John) Anderson, Nikki Dussex, Becca Dussex Moore, Sarah (Shan) Russell, Tony (Tiffanie) Snyder, Elizabeth (Brandon) Taylor, Chris (Toni) Dussex; 19 great-grandchildren; step-sisters, Mary Simon and Louise Furnell; special friend, Grace Bates; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the 3rd floor medical staff at Conway Regional Medical Center and Kindred Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
A Rosary and Visitation will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2022. The Rosary will begin at 6 p.m. and visitation will follow until 8 p.m.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church Thursday, Aug. 4, 2022, at 11 a.m. with internment following at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and great-grandsons.
