Helen Mae Ticey

Helen Mae Ticey was born June 14, 1934, in Lottie Bottoms near Mayflower (Conway, Arkansas) to Joe Issac Cohen and Evelyn Tuggle Cohen.

She is preceded in death by her two brothers, Bennie Cohen and Joe Cephus Cohen; one sister, Dorothy Bedford; and one grandson, Todara Lasker.

Ms. Ticey was a faithful member of Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, serving as church clerk for 40 years. She taught the Women's Sunday School Class for many years. She sang in the church choir and was part of the culinary committee.

She attended Pine Street School. She worked at a cook at Townhouse Restaurant, Tommy's and Conway Regional Hospital. She later worked at Virco Mfg retiring after 30 years of service.

Her memory and love for family will be cherished by her five children: two sons, Curtis Cohen, of Conway, Arkansas, and T.J. Ticey (Debra) of Eagan, Minnesota; three daughters, Leona Walton of Conway, Arkansas, Evelyn Ticey of Sherwood, Arkansas, and Robyn Ticey of Normal, Illinois; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a host of cousins, along with her church family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 8, 2025, at Pleasant Branch Baptist Church, 601 Spruce St., Conway, Arkansas. Family hour will be held 5-7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at the funeral home.
