Johnny Irby Obituary

Johnny P. Irby, 83, of Conway went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024. He was born on Oct. 18, 1941, in Conway, Arkansas, to the late James Paul and Lena Mae Irby.

Johnny married the love of his life, Linda Irby, on Aug. 11, 1961, the couple was married for 63 years. They loved to travel in their motorhome and on mission trips. Johnny also served as a deacon, greeter and a member of the security team for Woodland Heights Baptist Church in Conway. He was also a Gideon and was still giving out Bibles last week. Johnny enjoyed a long career as the purchasing manager at CHDC and loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Lou Davis Irby; daughter, Anita Irby Stephens (Jeff) of Greenbrier, Arkansas; grandsons, Ben Stephens (Amy) of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Matthew Stephens (Rebecca) of Conway, Arkansas.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the Hospice Home Care Staff, Cortney, Skye, Bill, Dee, Laken, Ruby, Russell, Cassandra, Rubye, Kenyon, Cam and Dr. Thad Hardin, who all treated Johnny like family. Our goal was to keep him at home and that mission was accomplished with all the support. He passed peacefully at home with his family surrounding him and he is safe in the arms of Jesus. It's not goodbye Daddy, its until we see you again!

A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2024, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, Arkansas. Immediately followed by a graveside service at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, Arkansas.
