Jonathan Hurst Obituary
Born in Little Rock, on May 5, 1984, he was a son to Terry and Lisa (Guge) Hurst of Damascus.
He was a loving husband, father, son and brother who enjoyed being with his two boys. He had a love for hunting and fishing. Jonathan attended Tulsa Welding School and A.C.E.F and worked as a welder and plumber. He was a member of South Side Baptist Church.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carolyn Smith and Danny Joe Hurst.
Those left to mourn his memory are his wife, Jennifer (Helton) Hurst; parents, Terry Hurst and Lisa Hurst; sons, Nathan Allen and Jayden Wayne Hurst; sister, Tarah Hurst; brother, Brent Hurst; grandparents, Stella and Harrell Reynolds and Bill Smith; and a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at South Side Baptist Church in Damascus, with Bro. Steve Stephens officiating.
Interment will follow at Spires Cemetery, in Damascus, with Ryan Cable, Anthony Flick, Jesse Stark, Cody Johnson, Rusty Johnson and Justin Matthews serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 20, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier.
A memorial fund has been established for Nathan and Jayden at Simmons First National Bank locations in Conway.

It is so hard to say goodbye.. i love you lil brother glad you are in a beter place.. thanks for all the great memories... Going camping this weekend... you now ill think of you many times... We are praying for your family.. we love you Hurst.. terry and lisa were my 2nd parents and brent , tarah ,and like siblings... i still feel that way... if you need the Richie's let us know...

I remember Jon hanging out at our house many times as a teenager. He was such a sweet boy. He always had a hug and his sweet smile. My heart aches for all those who loved him.

Terry, I'm sorry I didn't know Jonathan. If he was like his father, then I am sure he was great guy. I am sure I am preaching to the choir when I say everything happens for the glory of GOD. Most of the time we never know what that glory may be, but we can be assured by GODS word. I have know idea what it feels like to lose child so I am not even going to pretend. But I do know that we belong to him. After all, it is all about him, not us. I wish there was something I could say to take away the hurt. I grieve your loss. My heart felt prayers are with the family. Jonathan left on my Dad's birthday and parents anniversary. I am sure they greeted him at the Golden Gates. God is good all the time and He will carry you through all of this. We have a hard time understanding the 'whys' of death but the Lord is our shepherd...love you all very much.
