Kenneth Harold Collier, of Conway, at the age 89, passed away on Nov. 1, 2021, in his home. He was loved and surrounded by family and friends in his last days while he was in hospice care at home. He was born to Ralph and Mae Burcham Collier on Jan. 24, 1932, near Mayflower, at Sturgis Hill.

He was well known as an honest, hard working family man. At a young age he began working with his dad as a sharecropper and worked many jobs growing up. He worked for Wells Fargo, owned his own siding business, then owned I-40 Texaco and Belwood Exxon before becoming owner of Ken Collier's used cars in 1976 until present.

He and his wife were members of Morgan Full Gospel Church for 18 years before they founded GAP Mission Church in 2002 and have pastored there for 19 years.

Those left to cherish his memorial are his wife, Jarla Collier; his sons, Tommy Collier and Terry Doshier both of Conway; his daughters, Marsha Collier of Conway, and Sheila Sowell (James) of Mayflower; his brother, Bobby Lewis Collier of Crossett; his daughter-in-law, Cindy Collier; his grandchildren, Mandy Thompson (Allen) of Vilonia, Ashlee Clark, April Bowie of Vilonia, Jason Kendrick of Vilonia, Angel Blanton, Andrew Halsey and Cortney Doshier; his great-grandchildren, Karli, Collier, Adelynn, Whitlee, Oaklee, Weston, Tyler, Grant, Pamela, Jace, Preston, Gracee, Bentlee, Kenlee, Baylee, Hannah, Drew, Byron, Trinity, Christian and James.

The visitation for Ken Collier is from 6 to 8 p.m. today Nov. 4, 2021, at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at Gap Mission Church in Conway, with burial to follow at Mayflower Cemetery in Mayflower.

The family would like to extend a special "Thanks" to their hospice team, Shauna, Ty and Ashley along with their special friend and personal nurse, Kimberly Evan, who was with us through it all and his little knucklehead nurse, Kenlee.
