Raymond Carroll Brewer

1931 - 2014

Raymond Carroll Brewer at the age of 82 went to meet his Lord and Savior on Sept. 26, 2014, surrounded by family and friends.
He was born Nov. 30, 1931, in Martinville, Ark., to Clarence Edgar Brewer and Clara Myrtle McKenzie.
Carroll was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Howard Eugene Brewer, and Charles Gene Brewer; sisters, Rose Ellen Belk, and Mary Helen Cantwell; and son, Carroll Wayne Brewer.
Carroll was of the Christian faith and a longtime Southern Baptist member and deacon of Emmanuel Baptist Church, now known as Church on the Hill. He retired from the U.S. Post Office and was a member of the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association and loved the outdoors especially deer hunting.
Carroll is survived by his wife, Imogene "Jean" Wilson of 63 years; sons, Michael Eugene Brewer (Iris Fulmer), Curtis Lee Brewer, both of Conway, and Timothy Ray (Glenda) Brewer of Holland; granddaughter, Cheyenne Nicole Brewer; and sister, Alice Marie (Jim) Simpson of Tracy, Calif.; and a host of nephews and nieces. Carroll was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to all.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 30, 2014, at Church on the Hill from 6-8 p.m. and funeral services will be held at Church on the Hill 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Caney Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rick Brewer, Moose Brewer, Keith Wilson, David Wilson, Jarett Wilson, Dan Thessing, Bill Lupkey, and Josh White.
