Vivian McGibbony Obituary

Vivian Dean (Jett) McGibbony age 91 of Conway passed away at her home Friday, January 7, 2017 after spending Christmas with her family. She was born September 2, 1925 in Tyronza, Arkansas and was a graduate of Tyronza High School. She attended Arkansas State Teachers College (UCA) where she met and married her husband Charles W. "Dub" McGibbony.
She was a coach's wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and teacher of both kindergarten and special needs children. She worked for UCA housing until retirement and was presented with the first ever UCA employee of the year award.
She was a lifelong member of the Conway first United Methodist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles "Dub" McGibbony, her parents William and Lola Jett, and sister Ramona May.
She is survived by her children; Wayne and Nan McGibbony of Conway, grandchildren; Stephanie, Chuck, Jeremy, Doug, Keri, Brooks, Lee, and Logan, 15 Great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and one brother Pettigrew Jett.
Visitation will be Thursday January 12, 2017 from 6-8 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2:00 Friday January 13, 2017 at the Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-McNuttt Funeral Home in Conway.
