Jack King

1937 - 2010

Jack King, 73, of Aromas, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 at his home.
He was born June 25, 1937, in Miami Beach, Florida. Jack was a cheerful servant of God, his wife, Ruby and his family. He gave unselfishly of his time and resources. He would go without so others could have a better life. He touched many lives and changed all who met him. He loved fishing and being outdoors. He spent his youth in Florida and West Virginia. He worked hard and tirelessly for MaBell for many years. He would want all who knew him to love and serve God, family, friends and strangers. We'll see you soon.
He served in the Air Force from 1955 to 1958. He was a member of The Mission at San Juan Bautista, Lions Club, Odd Fellows, Knights of Columbus, Third Order Franciscan, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Jack was an avid 49er's and Giants fan and a member of the Pioneers and CWA.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, Guy King; mother, Esther Young; father-in-law, George Ball; mother-in-law, Prospita Ball and granddaughter, Cassey Elliot.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruby King of Aromas; daughters, Naomi (Jeff) Elliot of Bonney Lake, Wash., Theresa (Paul) Smith of Oak Harbor, Wash., Patricia (Micah) Wilmore of Salinas; sons, David (Lisa) King of Salinas, Cody (Angelica) Morales of San Jose; 22 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be held Monday, Nov. 15, at 12 p.m. at San Juan Bautista Mission, 406 2nd St., San Juan Bautista, Calif. 95045.
