Mr. Webster was my fourth grade teacher at Natividad Elementary School for the first half of the year. I had to move away in December of that year but he made an impact on my life that lasts until this day in 2021. When it was time for me to leave the school he shook my hand to say goodbye. That was the first at time anyone had done that to me and I cried all the way home. I loved him and I never had a teacher after that to match him. Thank you Mr. Webster.

One evening, I decided to do some research on my Alma Mater, Mission Park Elementary school. I had the privilege of attending Mission Park during the mid 60s. Upon doing my research, I was deeply saddened to learn that the Principal, during that time, John R. Webster, had passed away back in 2010. I really had planned to meet up with him one day and thank him for such a positive impact that he had on my life.

I fondly remember Mr. Webster as a well-dressed conscientious educator, who promoted the ingredients to success by encouraging academic excellence. He also fostered an environment that promoted the importance of proper etiquette, respect, civility, discipline, and dignity.

In short, he left an indelible impression on me that I carried through life. I truly believe that he had a great part in my success throughout the rest of my education all the way to a very successful career. My prayers and sympathies are with the family. I say, thank you my dear friend and may you rest in peace.

Gina and family, I only knew John by listining to Gina's wonderful stories and talking to him on the phone when he would call her at work. He was always so cheerful and asked how everyone was, always said don't tell her I called. But I always did. He was very special and loved you all so much. You are very blessed to have a father and grandfather like him.

Papa was a definitely a character. I remember when he used to come over with all his little brushes and we would pretend he was drawing jewlery all over my hands. :) And his "tookie tookie" dance he would do everytime he would leave the house. I'm so happy I can say I got to have a Grandpa to have so many good memories of. And someone that was so loved and well-known in the community. You're one of a kind. Love you always Papa!

Dear Gina & Family, So very sorry to hear about your dad. I can close my eyes right now and picture him in the 70's! He was a great dad who always had his family's best interests in mind...sometimes to our dismay! From the sound of these postings that was a lifelong trait. I'm happy to have known him and just want you and your family to know that thinking of him brought a smile to my face today. Stay strong - Love Mona Yeiser Sloan

I was one of the countless children who attended Natividad School during Mr. Webster's time there in the 70's. Years later when I was in my early 20's, I worked at K-mart part-time while attending Hartnell. And wouldn't you know it. Mr. Webster, who had retired as a principal by then, was the door greeter there. I believe he said something along the lines of, "You were one of my kids, weren't you? I don't remember all of the names, but I do remember all of the faces." I'll never forget that. My condolences to his family.

We are sorry to hear about John's passing. It was a privalege to have been his neighbor. Always knew we could count on him if we needed anything. He helped me(Lanette) to remain calm when I locked my oldest daughter in the car while we figured out how to get her out. He will never be forgotten.

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Webster through his daughter Gina Rosas. I got to talk to Mr. Webster many mornings at our work, he called Gina every day to say good morning. He would be sure to tell me that he knew Gina and I were good friends and how lucky we both were. He would wish me a great day and always would say, " don't bother telling Gina I called". I would always tell her and she called him right back. Mr. Webster, you are missed.

Mr. Webster was the principal at Natividad Elementary when I attended in the 70's. He was very kind and I still remember being in Mrs. Rose's first grade class and singing when he walked into the room. What a wonderful man he was.
