Beloved husband and father, Michael Earl Rasmussen, 71, of Salinas, CA, passed away on November 17, 2011 due to complications after heart surgery.
Mike was born in Redding, CA and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Mike lived on the Monterey Penninsula for the past 35 years. Owner and creator of Rasmussen Paper Collectibles, he was an expert in the field of memorabilia and postcards and held auctions on E-Bay every week. Mr. Mike, as he was known, was long affiliated with Calvary Baptist Church in Marina where, over the years he taught AWANAS, sang, and was a Deacon.
He leaves behind his wife, Irene, daughter Paula (Don Sherrill), son Eric (Kerry Rasmussen) and grandson Noah and sister Rae Lynn Berg.
Memorial service November 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Marina, CA.

Irene,
Abby and I continue to pray for you. "Mr. Mike" was very special. His love for kids and teenagers at Calvary was a great encouragment to us. Lots of memories flood our thoughts.
We know that he is where we long to be...in the presence of Jesus.
