It is with a sad heart we announce the March 19, 2016 passing of Ruby Anna Wood.
Ruby was born November 26, 1936, in Tulare.
She lived in Salinas for 53 years.
She was a loyal and dedicated S.F. Giants fan and was passionate about her Relay For Life family team (Team Victor).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Cotta; her brother, Thomas Cotta Jr.; sister, Janie Pearson; granddaughter, Ronica Wood, and great-granddaughter, Kylah Savala.
She is survived by her three children, Michael (Stacy) Wood, Greg (Katia) Wood and Melissa (Tom) Singleton; five grandchildren, Derrick (Traci) Wood, Monica Bandalan, Sheena, Connor and Emily Wood; two great-grandchildren, Kian and Shaylee Wood, and the best friend anyone could have asked for, Allene Horsley.
Rosary and Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at Struve and Laporte Chapel, 41 W. San Luis St., Salinas, CA 93901.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Salinas Team Victor.

I am very saddened to read of Ruby's passing.
Mike may remember me from when we all worked at Shakey's many moons ago. Ruby was always smiling and was a lot of fun to work with. My condolences to the entire family. Ruby will be sorely missed.
