Douglas James Tolbert, 63, of Austinville, passed away on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery. Mr. Tolbert was born in Martinsville, Virginia on July 27, 1957. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mary "Mimi" and James Robinson and a brother. Terry Tolbert.
Survivors include his mother, Juanita Tolbert; son, Adam Tolbert; sisters, Patricia Graham and Janet Alderman; brother-in-law, Wayne Graham; nephew, David Alderman; and several cousins and aunts.
A graveside service with burial following will be held on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the James Robinson Cemetery with Pastor Harold Boyd officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Coulson Church c/o Janet Alderman 1020 Oak Grove Road, Austinville, VA 24312. A guestbook is available online by visiting www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
