JAMES H. WARD
ELGIN, IL. - James H. Ward, age 68, passed away April 9, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois. He was born November 4, 1945 in New York City to the loving union of James and Mary Ward.
James was a devoted husband of 24 years, loving father and grandfather, always giving without being asked and expecting nothing in return. A true Patriot, and a strong believer in the rights granted to us by U.S. Constitution, James was passionate about all aspects of politics, reading several newspapers everyday. He was an avid supporter of the Salvation Army, USO and many other charitable originations. James was proud to be a P.I.C.K. programmer, as writing code was a passion in his life. He retired from ADP Dealer Service.
He is survived by his wife Olga, his Daughter Monica (Keith) Mikkelson, step daughter Rachel (Dr. Steven) Brown, his step son Robert (Layna) Owens, sister Dr. Kathleen (Dr. John) Gallagher and 13 grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday April 14, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with services at 7:00 PM at Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park Street, Elgin, IL 60120. Interment will be 12:00 PM Friday, April 18, 2014 at Wilkinson Memorial Cemetery, Hillsville, VA.
