Anthony Angelo Blasi passed away on October 31, 2021. He was born in Trinidad, Colorado on July 9, 1953, to the late Tony J. and Annabelle (Mangino) Blasi.
He was raised in Sopris; during high school, he and his family relocated to El Moro, where he lived until his death. Anthony graduated from Trinidad Catholic in 1971. After graduation, Anthony bought his first Kenworth, and he hauled lumber, equipment, cattle, and hay for over 50 years. Anthony was also a very talented equipment operator, there wasn't a piece of equipment that he couldn't operate. Anthony lived in a way that he wrote his own rules, he fought authority, and he paved his own way. If you said he couldn't do it, he would make sure he could. He had an acute awareness of the importance of a life well lived with the ones he loved.
Anthony has five surviving siblings, Bertha Ann, Jim, Beverly, Edward, and Gary Blasi who held a special place in his heart. Anthony was a loving and supportive father to five children, Brad (Stacey) Blasi, Laura (Luke Leaton) Blasi, Sarah (Calvin Coley) Blasi, Brian Blasi, and Jayden Blasi. Anthony gifted each of his children with the skills and knowledge to carry on his legacy. He took extreme pride and joy in his seven grandchildren, Brooklynn and Harlem (Sarah), Ava and Alyx (Laura), Brady, Beau, and Brock (Brad).
Anthony is preceded in death by his Parents Tony and Annabelle Blasi and Special Aunt Irene (Frank) Cerame.

Anthony was the oldest cousin of the Angelo Blasi family. I have fond memories of visiting him and his siblings at the El Moro house that my dad, Mike Blasi, and his family lived at when I was little. I did not see Anthony too much but I did visit with him every once in awhile. He and my dad, his Uncle Mike, had a close relationship. He was always checking on my dad to see how he was and they did go on a few trips together. Anthony is the first of all the cousins to pass away. My husband and I remember him to have quite a sense of humor and always made us laugh. We will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all his family.
