Antonio Lopez Martinez, 90, peacefully passed away on October 22, 2021 in Trinidad, Colorado.
Antonio was born on February 25, 1931 in Chocomeca, Tlaltenango, Zacatecas; Mexico. He attended school temporarily in Mexico. Antonio was hired by the Southern Pacific Railroad company in McCloud, California where he arduously labored for 30 years, retiring in 1977.
He enjoyed working outdoors, and spending time with the family. He enjoyed traveling and taking family for a meal and conversation. His favorite things to do included, helping others, walking, driving through the mountains and visiting family. He was a devout Catholic.
He was preceded in death by his wonderful wife, Teresa Magallanes Palafox; his beloved parents, Felix Lopez de Lara, and Manuela Martinez Soto.
Antonio is survived by his loving children: Maria Hernandez (Manuel), Angelina Lopez, Felix Lopez (Darlene), Raquel Lovato (Leonard), Jesus Lopez, and Teresa Ochoa (Luis); grandchildren: Linda Hernandez, Jesus "Jesse" Hernandez (Ekco), Jaime Hernandez, Eduardo Hernandez (Naomi), Violeta Hernandez (Rob), Rosalie Archuleta (Michael), Adrian Lopez, Felix Lopez Jr., Luis Ochoa (Ashley), Alexis Lopez, Christopher Ochoa (Alyssa), Janelle Lopez-Wright (Jon), Vanessa Hernandez-Holm (Cooper), Andrea Lopez (Fernando), Frida Ochoa, Ari Ochoa;
14 great grandchildren: Kiana, Gabriel, Jesus, Aracelli, Ansleigh, Jaime Jr., Ezekiel, Brandileigh, Jessileigh, Mylah, Destiny, Michael, Cassius, Mia, and Cristian; and 1 great great granddaughter Genesis.
He is also survived by his sisters and brother: Soledad Lopez Martinez, Rosa Lopez-Teposte and Indalecio Lopez Martinez.
Vaya con Dios Papa! Usted estara por siempre en nuestros corazones.
At his request he will be laid to rest with his wife in Mexico.
