Marie Van Matre Obituary
Preceded in death by her parents Miguel and Leonor Gallegos, brother William Gallegos, son-in-law Greg Files and Larry Van Matre. Survived by her brother Archie Garcia, her daughters Sheri Files, Mary (William) Barr, Renee (David) Greenway and Evalee Malespini. Also, survived by grandchildren Ashley (Micky) Schlagel, Lauren (Steve) Boothe, Kaitlyn (Aaron) Steinberg, Brian Martinez, Traci Files, Kyle (Jacinta) Shoop, Kody Shoop, Sean (Ashley) Greenway, Chelsea Greenway, Madison Greenway and 9 great grandchildren.
Marie was an avid Broncos fan. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids shopping, having lunch or just hanging out. Coffee time with her friends and her daughters was one of her favorite ways to catch up on the week's happenings. She had a great sense of humor and always found something to laugh about. She also enjoyed having lunch with friends and meeting for mass on Saturday afternoon or just visiting on the phone. She loved getting text message photos of the great grandkids.
Rosary service on Friday, July 30 at 12:00 noon at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with funeral mass at 1:00 p.m. Reception to follow at Bloom Mansion Garden, 312 E. Main Street, Trinidad, CO.
