Peter Kristoff Obituary
Peter F Kristoff, 65, of Willington passed peacefully in his home on March 30th 2023 after a long courageous battle with several health issues. His positive attitude and determination has been an inspiration to all that knew him. He has taught us that love and a positive attitude can make all the difference in the world.
Peter was born in Willimantic, CT on October 15th 1957 and grew up in Coventry. He was very active in football, soccer, track & field, scouts and his church.
He Is predeceased by his wife, Donna Mason Kristoff on January 19th 2023, after nearly 40 years of marriage. Peter and Donna were best friends and loved spending peaceful times at their secluded home. They also enjoyed taking trips together, anywhere from grabbing a lobster basket from Abbotts in Noank to traveling to Alaska to experience the northern lights.
Peter was a caring and giving person and was always willing to help others any way he could. He would help the elderly maintain their homes and would lend an ear to those who just needed someone to talk to.
He was devoted to his family and helped his aging parents, Frank and Joan Kristoff, who have predeceased him.
He is also predeceased by his wife, Patricia Caswell Kristoff, his daughter, Heather Marie Kristoff and brother, Jonathan Kristoff.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Alan and Ginger Kristoff of ME, his sister, Phyllis Kristoff of Coventry, his nieces, Erica Kristoff of MA, Jennifer Kristoff of VA, Elizabeth Sadlon Baugh of PA, as well as many longtime friends.
There will be calling hours Friday April 21st 2023 from 4:00 to 6:00 at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Turnpike, Coventry. The funeral will be Saturday April 22nd 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Coventry, 1171 Main St. Coventry with a burial following at the Moose Meadow Cemetery, 149 Turnpike Rd., Willington CT.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SPCA (a no-kill animal shelter), 359 Spring Hill Rd. Monroe, CT 06460.
