William Hogan Obituary

MANSFIELD

COLUMBIA

William P. Hogan, beloved husband, father, grandfather (known as Bopie), great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024. He was born in Derby, but lived in Shelton CT, before moving to Mansfield, Connecticut.

William is survived by his cherished wife, Linda Hogan, his two children, Lisa Beebe (partner Michael Carberry), Tad McKinney (wife Kathy McKinney). He was a proud grandfather to four grandchildren: Joshua Beebe, Julianna Beebe, Hunter McKinney, and Justin Beebe. He was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Kianna and Mason and his cousin Johanna Clisham.

William leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to those he cherished. He was predeceased by his parents Emilinda and John Hogan and his brother John Hogan.

Before moving to Mansfield, William worked at New England Engineering Co., Inc. in Derby, CT. After moving to Mansfield, he dedicated 36 years of his career to Center Sports as Archery Manager and Technician in Columbia, CT. Bill was always known for his hard work and special talents in his field.

Bill's passion was time spent with Linda and his family. He had a curious mind with a keen sense of interest in astronomy, archery and vintage cars. Bill was also a health enthusiast dedicating himself to a lifetime of exercise.

A celebration of William's life will be held on Monday December 16, 2024 at the Coventry-Pietras Funeral Home, 2665 Boston Turnpike, Coventry, CT 06238 with visitation from 4:00 p.m. 6:00 p.m. and a prayer service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, send donations to the American Cancer Society.

William will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who knew him. His sense of humor and left a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
