Charles Cook Obituary


Charlie Thomas Cook passed away on January 23,2026 in Jackson, MS. Charles was born December 12, 1934, and grew up in small town Raleigh, MS with his parents and sister. He met the love of his life, Frankie, in school and always had his eyes set on marrying her. They married June 13, 1954. They raised three children, and enjoyed spending as much time as they could with their grandchildren. They were married for 58 years. Charles worked for Hesselbein Tire Company for over 50 years.

Charles loved the Lord, and was an active member of Clinton Methodist Church for over 40 years before moving to Brandon First Methodist Church, after the passing of his wife. He enjoyed his time with his Sunday School class.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents, John Dewey Cook and Vida Cook; wife of 58 years, Frankie Cook; children, Charles Kirby; sister, Willie Nell Buchanan (Buck); granddaughter, Lindsey Cook; son- in- law, Mark Ross. He is survived by his children, Kerry Cook (Bridget) and Kim Ross; grandchildren, Nathan Cook, Aaron Cook, Kacie Ross, Sydney Cook, and Cody Ross.
