Judi Lowery Obituary
Judi Ann Lowery was called to her heavenly home in early November. She was born January 1945 in Philadelphia, MS to George Washington Blount and Amy Mable Blount. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband Larry Lowery.
Judi is survived by her son, Shannon (Anna), daughter Stacy (Jesse), grandson James (Morgan), granddaughters Jesslyn (Rishad), Kendall (Josh), Karson (Luke), great grandchildren Landon, Brooks, Paisley, and Campbell.
Judi grew up in Jackson and attended Hardy Jr. High where she met Larry, the love of her life. They graduated together in 1963 from Provine High School, where Judi was a majorette. They later attended Hinds Community College where Judi was a Hi-Stepper. They soon married and began their lives together.
Judi began her career at Deposit Guaranty National Bank. She later worked at Department of Finance and Administration and retired after 25 years.
Judi loved traveling with Larry to skeet shoots and fishing tournaments. She loved to shop and would often just browse and never buy a thing. She absolutely loved her family, and would rarely miss events that they were in at McCluer Academy and Central Hinds Academy. Judi enjoyed hunting with Larry and Shannon as members of Hinds Hunting Club on Kings Point Island in Vicksburg. She also loved spending time with her family at their 2nd home on Eagle Lake, pontoon riding or just drinking coffee on the porch.
Judi loved being around people, especially her church friends, performing with the Ragaroos, and her Sunday School class at First Baptist Church in Raymond. She also loved playing Bunko, cards and Rummikub with family and friends.
Judi was a sweet and loving friend, wife, mom, grandmother, and great grandmother. Meme, as she was called by most everyone, loved her family most of all and would talk about them often. She loved being Meme. She adored her Larry with all of her heart and missed him every day. Our Meme is now reunited with her love, and will be greatly missed. Please remember her fondly and talk about her often.
