Dennis Raybuck Obituary

Dennis Vaughn Raybuck, 75, of DuBois, PA, died on June 10, 2025. Denny passed away peacefully at home with his wife Becky by his side, just as she has been every day of their 52 years of marriage. A lifelong resident of DuBois, Denny graduated from DuBois Area High School in 1967.

Denny began his career as a truck driver for Beaver Meadow Creamery. Then, through the encouragement and generous support of Beaver Meadow owner, J.A. Kirk, Denny opened his first business in 1984 and named it Old World Creamery. Over the next three decades he built an impressive career, growing several businesses in the food industry. Denny also had a great love of automotives from his early days of drag racing with his lifelong friend, Phil Tabone, which led to the founding of Predator Performance and the sponsorship of Benny Gordon's Hooters ProCup Racing Team. Most importantly to him, though, was that he established a reputation for himself around the world as a businessman of the utmost integrity.

Denny loved living in DuBois, and cared deeply about doing all he could to better his community. He was an active member of Holy Spirit Parish and always quick to contribute to the continuing mission of the church. He served on the boards of the DuBois Area School District and YMCA, was actively involved in Boy Scouts, and built the local skate park so that young people would have a safe place to gather and have fun. Denny did many other things anonymously, as he felt credit was not necessary as long as the needs of the community he loved were met.

Denny valued his family above all else, and dedicated himself to providing for them. He married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Becky, on February 17, 1973. From traveling extensively throughout Europe to birthday dinners with the teacher crew to enjoying a quiet night watching "Cheers" reruns, Denny was happy as long as he was with Becky. Together they built a beautiful life and family that they treasured. While raising their children, Denny always tried to instill in them, through his words and example, a strong work ethic, a commitment to bettering your community and helping your neighbor, and to always putting your family first.

Denny is survived by his wife, Becky; children Danielle Erdley (Aaron) of Mechanicsburg, PA, Michael Raybuck (Amanda) of DuBois, and Kimberly Raybuck of DuBois; four granddaughters, Elena and Kathryn Erdley of Mechanicsburg, PA, and McKayla and Lorelei Raybuck of DuBois; sister-in-law Linda LaBorde (Ed) of DuBois, PA, nephews Doug Cornely (Lisa), Jon Cornely, Shawn Knisely (Marcia) and Jason Knisely (Nicole), and nieces Jo Michelle Malone (Darryl) and Jennifer Czapik (James), and many friends who will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elaine Raybuck and Vaughn Raybuck, his mother and father-in-law, Joe and Doris Federici, and brother-in-law Don Knisely.

The family will receive visitors from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Parish at St. Catherine of Siena at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025, with Father John Malthaner and Msgr. Richard Siefer as con-celebrants.

Interment will be at Morningside Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be directed to Holy Spirit Parish, 118 S State St., DuBois, PA 15801 and/ or Bucktail Council designated to Camp Mountain Run, 89 Nolan Road, Penfield, PA 15849.
