Gregory Moore Obituary

Gregory James Moore, 59, an Oak Street Ridgway, PA resident, died on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born on March 7, 1966, in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Robert Moore and Mae Clark Collins, who survives and lives in Brookville.

Greg was a business owner and a self-employed butcher for the majority of his life, concluding his career as owner and operator of West End Grocery in Ridgway. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW Club, both in Ridgway. His greatest enjoyment came from riding his Harley Davidson. He also enjoyed fishing, canoeing, kayaking and hitting the trail in his side by side.

In addition to his mother, he is also survived by a daughter, Stephanie (Mark) Bell of Strattanville, PA; a son, Joshua (Zell) MeKenny of Palm Springs, California; sisters, Shirley Holben of Brookville and Peg Olson of Warren, PA; brothers, Garry (Cathy) Moore of Falls Creek, PA; Brad (Robin) Moore of Reynoldsville, PA; Kevin Moore of DuBois, PA; half sister, Sharon (George) Rapp of Shippenville, PA; half brother, Bobby Moore (Heidi) of Sigel, PA; stepsisters, Susan Gould (Todd) and Karen Snell (Dick) of Brookville, PA and stepbrother, Sammy Barnett of Reynoldsville, PA. Greg is also survived by five grandchildren: Hailey Klugh, Tyler Klugh, Lukas Klugh, Rodney Bell and Brooke Bell, as well as multiple nieces and nephew. Greg also had numerous friends, too many to ever mention them all, but he is also survived by his best friend, Joe Wolff of Ridgway.

In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Moore, and stepsister, Betty Deibler.

Visitation will be on Saturday, September 27 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, September 28 at 3 p.m., also at the funeral home with Rev. Terry Felt officiating. Burial will follow in Temple Cemetery in Hazen, PA.
