Jean Hunt Obituary
Jean was born on December 24, 1931, in Mahwah, NJ. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Jean (Petrosky) Mihok.
On September 14, 1957, she married her husband and the love of her life of 67 years, Eugene ""Gene"" Hunt of Highbridge Bronx, New York, who survives her.
Jean spent most of her life as a devoted wife and mother to four children, sons Kevin Hunt and his wife Barbara, of Plymouth, CA, Raymond Hunt, of Brockway, PA, Eugene Hunt Jr., of Glenshaw, PA, and daughter Catherine Hunt of Fremont, CA. In addition to her husband and children, Jean is survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Jean faithfully supported her husband Gene throughout his 37-year career as an executive of the General Motors Corporation which included stints in New York, California, New England, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Prior to marriage, Jean attended the Barbazon School of Modeling in New York. She was an executive secretary at William A. White, a commercial real estate firm in New York City. After marrying, she worked tirelessly at home and supporting the family and the activities of her kids while maintaining a spotless household. She was an avid tennis player, and in retirement, took up golf and enjoyed playing regularly with husband Gene, and mutual members of Treasure Lake Resort in DuBois.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Andrew Mihok.
There will be no public visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at 1 p.m. from the chapel at Christ the King Manor with Father Matias Quimno and Msgr. Richard Siefer co-officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to Christ the King Manor Care and Compassion Fund, 1100 West Long Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
The Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc is in charge of arrangements.
