Kathleen Green Obituary
She is survived by two caring sons, Jason and Dan, both of Brockway. She was a 1953 graduate of the Reynoldsville High School. She was active in the Reynoldsville Alumni. She worked at Rockwell before her marriage. Kathleen had faith and was a fighter of health during her life. When she was 9, she spent 6 months in Allegheny General Hospital with Osteomyelitis of the jaw. She endured a few surgeries. In care, she was one of the first recipients of penicillin treatments for her condition. Missing one full school year. She was very active in her church Moorhead United Methodist Church. Over the years she served as Assistant Secretary, Membership Secretary, Sunday School Teacher and custodian. Kathleen had a love of reading and was a regular patron of the Mengle Memorial Library. She enjoyed country music and being a member of the Country Crew and a fan of "Romey and Friends." She had a love of watching NASCAR. Also for years she enjoyed riding her bike down the Rails to Trails in Brockway into her late 60's when she started walking through the neighborhoods of Brockway waving and stopping for a short chat along the way.
In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a brother Bruce. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be no public visitation. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway with Pastor Dave Nagele officiating. Burial will follow in the Wildwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Mengle Memorial Library 324 Main Street Brockway, PA 15824 or Brockway Ambulance PO Box 222 Brockway, PA 15824. online condolences may be left at csfhinc.com
