Mark E. Verne

1967 - 2025

Mark E. Verne, 57, a 7th Avenue, Brockway, PA resident, died on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at his residence.

Born on March 25, 1967, in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas Verne and Sylvia Regotti, Verne, who survives and lives in Brockway.

On June 13, 1992, he was married to Krista Lee, who survives.

Mark was employed as a machine operator at Beaver Meadows Creamery in DuBois. He was Catholic by faith. Mark was a very generous man who was willing to jump in and help anyone, even complete strangers, with anything. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his wife, his children and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed taking a cat nap watching a NASCAR race.

In addition to his mother and his wife, he is also survived by a daughter, Kara (Jeremy) Allen of Sykesville, PA; sons, Zach and Marc Verne, both of Brockway; a sister, Lisa (Don) Moore; and brothers, Paul (Penny) Verne and Thomas (Melinda) Verne, all of Brockway. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Jackson and Kessa Allen, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, from 2-8 p.m. at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 11 a.m., also at the funeral home, with Msgr. Charles Kaza officiating. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
