Norma Tinker Obituary

Norma Jean Tinker, 92, of West Long Avenue, DuBois, PA, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at the DuBois Nursing Home.

A daughter of the late George and Kathryn (Webber) Forsythe, she was born on July 21, 1932, in Tyler, PA. On October 15, 1954, she married Benjamin Tinker, who predeceased her on January 30, 2008.

Norma's life was filled with love, service, and dedication to her family and church. She was raised in Tyler and has lived in North Tonawanda, Weedville, Sabula and most recently DuBois. She was a devoted member of the Weedville Wesleyan church. Norma has served faithfully through the years in many different ways. She was known for the first donation to kick off the original building fund for the Weedville Wesleyan Church. She was always available to anyone who wanted or needed someone to talk with and was a friend to everyone who ever met her. Her warmth, generosity and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Besides her parents and her husband, Norma was predeceased by a son, Thomas F. Tinker; a granddaughter, Stefanie Tinker; two brothers, James and George, Jr.; and a sister, JoAnn Klaiber.

Norma is survived by three children: Sharon (Wesley) Voigt of DuBois, Gail Davis of DuBois and Dave Tinker of Brookville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Patty Stelene.

A private service will be held at the church with Pastor Bryon Kleppinger officiating.

Interment will take place in the Morningside Cemetery of DuBois.

Rest in peace until we see you again in heaven.

The family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Norma's name to the Weedville Wesleyan Church and will be accepting online condolences at the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home website (www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com).

Sweet, sweet soul! ALWAYS had a smile and stopped to chat with me when I would see her out shopping-she will be missed until we see her again!

Wonderful lady who loved her Lord, her family, and her church. She and Ben served as greeters for many years and were the smiling faces that people saw as they arrived at Weedville Wesleyan. She has left behind a godly heritage. May God inspire us to greater service through her example. (Former Pastor)

Thoughts and prayers for all the family many good memories of Norma working with the other ladies of the church in the kitchen during church meals, and at the ladies mission meetings , packing items to be mailed over seas. She always had a beautiful smile and a kind word, a chuckle. She was a sweet example of Jesus love.
