Roger Peace Obituary
He was born in Troutville on September 22, 1951, to the late Daryl and Frances (Kellner) Peace.
Roger married Zella B. (Marshall) Peace on November 14, 1981, in Troutville United Church of Christ by the Rev. Berry Fillman. Zella preceded him in passing on September 9, 2023.
He graduated from the DuBois Area High School Class of 1969. Roger worked at Shaw Mack for 18 years and then became a self-employed diesel mechanic for 37 years. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and reloading shells and shot gun shells. His greatest joy was making new friends and he loved to talk to others.
Roger is survived by his sons, Mike (Shannon) Peace of Winston GA, Kevin Peace of DuBois, a very special friend and supporter, Mary Gordon, and an "adopted little sister," Cathy Grinnen.
Friends and family are invited to Christ Lutheran Church on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at 11 a.m. for a memorial service with Rev. Amy Miller.
Interment will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor's choice.
