Ronald J. Dankesreiter

1941 - 2022

Ronald J. Dankesreiter, 80, of East Second Street, Emporium, PA, formerly of Murray's Mountain Road, Emporium, passed away unexpectedly at his residence, Emporium, on Tuesday afternoon (February 22, 2022).

He was born March 8, 1941, in Cheswick, PA, a son of the late John and Leona Quirin Dankesreiter. On May 18, 1963, in St. Marys Church, Reynoldsville, PA he married Carole Bohren, who survives.

Ron graduated from Reynoldsville Winslow High School and attended Westminster and Penn State Universities. In 1965 Ron and Carole moved to Emporium, where they made their home and Ron worked at Sylvania. He was a plant engineer having worked many years for Carlisle Corporation at Motion Control in Ridgway and later working for GKN from where he retired. Ron was an avid shooter, a lifelong aviator and served over a decade on the Bradford Regional Airport Authority. He was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church in Emporium.

In addition to his wife Carole, Ron is survived by a son, Brian Dankesreiter (Alicia), Wilcox; two grandchildren, Stella and Oliver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dennis Dankesreiter.

There will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Tuesday (March 8, 2022) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
