Ronald Ross Obituary

Ronald D. Ross, Sr., 73, of DuBois, PA died Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at his home.

Born on July 24, 1952, in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Kenneth H. and Dorothy J. (Duttry) Ross.

Ron was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

On September 5, 1969, he married Barbara J. (Novitsky) Ross. She preceded him in death on May 15, 2022.

Ron retired as a shearman from Triangle Auto Springs after 30 years of service.

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church. Ron enjoyed golfing, fishing, and especially loved traveling with his late wife Barb. Above all, he cherished his time with his children and grandchildren.

Ron is survived by his son (Ronald D. Ross, Jr. and his wife Ann Marie of Akron, OH), six grandchildren (Timothy, Jr., Michael, Kaitlyn, Andrew, Hannah and Brandon), one brother (Kenneth E. Ross of Pittsburgh, PA), one sister (Rebecca Sayers and her husband Lee of DuBois, PA), and son-in-law Timothy Taylor of St. Marys, PA).

He was preceded in death by his daughter (Carolyn Taylor), and two brothers (John and Daniel Ross).

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at 10 a.m. from Holy Spirit Parish at St. Michael the Archangel with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.

Full military honors will be accorded by the members of the DuBois Area Honor Guard from the church.

Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery.

I participated in a pilgrimage that Ron and Barb were part of. it was a wonderful to see the joy between them and great to get to know them. when I saw him after that, we always talked about the trip. You have my deepest sympathy.
