Darrell Shepherd, 66, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at Henry Community Health in New Castle. He was born March 11, 1957, in New Castle, Indiana to the late Lloyd and Beulah L. "Juel" (Caudill) Shepherd. Darrell attended Tri High School. A hard worker, Darrell retired from Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown in 2012 after 28 years of service. Darrell enjoyed eating out with friends, spending time with his family and collecting NASCAR memorabilia.
Survivors include 1 sister, Marcia Shepherd of Ogden; 1 brother, William Shepherd of Greenfield; nieces Carla Moore (Sherri Hadsell) of Indianapolis, Kim Shepherd, Paula (Bill) Hasty of New Castle; nephew, Kevin Shepherd (Makala Holiday) of Greenfield; great nieces, Brianna Moore of Greenfield, Tori (Savion) Brown of Indianapolis, Katyla Smith of Greenfield; great nephews, Isaiah Shepherd (Camry Hinsey), Marvin Hasty of New Castle; great-great nieces and nephews, Ryder, Dawson, Hailyn, Millie Shepherd, and Kolibri Brown
Visitation for Darrell will be from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 19, 2024, at Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Rev. George Maloyed will officiate. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Dublin.

This is a great great friend of mine no he's family!! All of tight kids in Ogden who grew up close together we are family like the song says!! We played basketball together at Stevens house we played school we went swimming we played baseball we even went sleding together!!! We would dress up for Halloween we didn't have no bought costumes we had to come up with something ourselves!! We laughed all the time!! It rained and thundered and we would stay out and laugh like a bunch of nuts!! Sometimes Darrell had a bad crush on a girl and I was his therapist (me helping someone?????)!!!! Every time he seen he always called me TROUBLE!! Where that came from I don't know!! But I loved it!! Darrell I will miss you so much!! GOD BLESS YOU I know you are going home to see all the angels I'll take care of everything down here!! ha! ha! This is Trouble signing off I love you man!!!
