Jill Christine Johnson, 77, of New Castle passed away Monday, May 20, 2024 at The Willows of New Castle. She was born November 9, 1946 in New Castle to the late Argil and Mildred (Davis) Johnson.
Jill retired from AT&T following 30 years of service as a Supervisor/ Operator. Later, she went on to work at Modernfold for 10 years. In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, family gatherings, listening to music and caring for her cats.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Judy and Mary Johnson; niece, Teri King-Agan; best friend, Marsha Eastridge and several cousins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Keith, Boyd and Argil Jr. Johnson.
A memorial service for Jill will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Private burial will be at South Mound Cemetery. You may express condolences or share a memory of Jill at www.hinsey -brown.com.

I lived net door to Jill till I was 12. She loved playing basket ball, she tried her best to teach me how to play Horse. Being a short girl, I tried but was lucky to hit the rim. Jill was a sweet lady.
