Lola (Gray) Cole, age 73, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Waters in New Castle, Indiana. She was born June 26, 1948 in Jackson County, Kentucky and was the daughter of Lermon and Dema Wright Gray.
Lola was a New Castle resident for many years where she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant, before retiring in 2008. Lola loved to cook and enjoyed her flowers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and watching Kentucky basketball. She was a member of the Milton Christian Church in Milton, Indiana.
She is survived by a daughter, Tonya (husband, Larry) Mills of Cambridge City, Indiana; two sisters, Olene (husband, Wesley) Angel of Bowling Springs, North Carolina, Christine (husband, Baxter) Mills of Richmond, Indiana; one brother, James (wife, Darlene) Gray of Brownsville, Indiana; a special sister-in-law, Gale Cummings of New Castle, Indiana; several nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Cole July 30, 2021; two brothers, Cecil and Harmey Gray; three sisters, Imogene Fox, Beatrice Lynch, and Bobbie Potter.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at Macer-Hall-Marcum & Moffitt Funeral Home, 2011 East Broad St., New Castle with Pastor Scott Moistner officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Garden. Friends may call from 11:00 a.m., until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Funeral directors and staff are honored to serve the Cole family.
