Mike Downing Obituary
Mike Downing, 70 of Muncie passed away August 17, 2024.
Mike grew up in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Central. He served in the US Navy and worked for the City of New Castle in various roles, Miller Tire, and Stuby Tire before retiring.
Mike was an avid race car fan and enjoyed going to the races. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed reading, listening to music, and hassling whoever was around him for a smile.
Mike leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter Gabby Downing Carter, grandson Seth Colburn, Mother Susan Downing, brothers Brent and Tom Downing, several nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
A memorial service for Mike will be held at 5:00p on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Union Chapel Church (Bldg. 2), in Muncie, Indiana with visitation from 3:00p-5:00p.
