Roger G. Lewis, 76, passed away Monday June 10, 2024 at his home in Auburn, IN.
He was born in Winchester on December 13, 1947 to Marvin and Alta (Dobbs) Lewis.
Roger worked for Dana Corporation in Hagerstown. He then transferred to the Auburn plant in 1993 and worked for Dana/Eaton Corporation until his retirement after 33 years in 2001. After retiring he worked at DeKalb Memorial Hospital for a number of years.
He was a member of the Auburn Shifters Car Club and the Auburn Moose Lodge. He enjoyed his cars and tinkering. He was a jokester, storyteller and collector of anything and everything. He liked putting puzzles together, golfing and his dog Wally.
Roger married Janet Kae Fisher on August 22, 1971 in Hagerstown and she passed away June 11, 2021.
Surviving is a daughter Kelly Lewis of Auburn and a son Kyle (Lori Davis) Lewis of Auburn; a granddaughter, Kylie Lewis: 2 sisters, Cathy Stamback of Connersville and Vanessa Cross of Modoc; a brother in law, John Scott (Kim) Fisher of Cleveland; a sister in law, Debbie Lewis of Farmland.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and 4 brothers, Ralph Lewis, Gerald Lewis, Ronnie Lewis and Carl Lewis.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, June 14, at Culberson Funeral Home, Hagerstown. Services will follow at 1 p.m.. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in memory of Roger to the family C/O Kelly Lewis to be put towards Roger's granddaughter's education.

So many memories come to mind....my cousin Roger and I playing together and later helping each other master the maze of growing up. He was a special cousin and confidante and will be missed.
