Phyllis Harris, 77, gained her wings on Nov. 26, 2021, after battling lung disease and several other illnesses for some time. She passed away in her hometown of Searcy, Ark., at Unity Health hospital. Phyllis was born in Searcy, Ark., to the late W.L. and Juanita Mildred Maddock Wilson on Oct. 21, 1944.
Phyllis worked at the Searcy Walmart for 18 years in the jewelry department until she retired. Phyllis had a love for decorating and cooking. Phyllis had a very soft heart when it came to animals and no matter how many times she claimed no more animals, a cat or dog always ended up in her home. Phyllis had a strong love for family and friends, whom she loved very much. During the years of Erika and Jasmine growing up, she claimed their friends as her own children or grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Erika; stepdaughters, Jessica Harris, Rose Sipes and Tera Brown; stepson, Todd Price; and granddaughter, Jasmine Rainey; and many cousins, stepgrandchildren and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Harris.
Family and friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Phyllis at Roller Daniel Funeral Home in Searcy, Ark., on Dec. 3 from 6-7 p.m. The funeral and graveside will be Dec. 4, 2021, at 11 a.m.
