Funeral services were conducted for Allen Paul "Paulis" Viator, 54, at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at David Funeral Home Chapel of New Iberia with Father Keith Landry officiating. Inurnment followed at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at David Funeral Home Chapel of New Iberia with a recitation of the Rosary at 12:30 p.m.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Viator passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2024. He was known for his love of watching wrestling and enjoying cold beer, which were among his favorite pastimes. A true handyman, he was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He cherished spending time with friends and family, often gathering for BBQs and sharing his love for classic country music on Saturday nights. His warm spirit, willingness to help others and the joy he brought to gatherings will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter Alayna Nicole Viator of New Iberia; one sister, Buffy Duhon of New Iberia; two brothers, George Viator of Oklahoma and Kenneth Viator of Lake Charles.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Judy Lynn Marie Romero Viator; his daughter Brittany Elizabeth Viator; parents Joseph and Josphine Viator; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Honored to serve as a pallbearer was Cameron Romero.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
