ABBEVILLE-A Mass of Christian burial for Mrs. Shirley Hebert Huntsberry, 88, will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at St. Theresa Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Our Lady of The Lake Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville from 9 a.m. until time of the services on Thursday, June 20, 2024, with a recitation of the Rosary at 10 a.m.
A resident of Abbeville, Mrs. Shirley passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2024. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling, fishing and playing BINGO. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Debra Dozier and her husband Andrew of Lafayette, Bridget Guidry of Abbeville, Connie Huntsberry of Abbeville, Stephanie DeJean and her husband Zany of Abbeville, Tracie Huntsberry of Abbeville and Tanya Huntsberry Amos and her husband Stanley of Sunset; her son Erick Huntsberry and his wife Brittany of Abbeville; her grandchildren April Hollier, Brittany Robbins, Jabian Huntsberry, Brandais Dozier, Whitney Hebert, Jodie Senegal Jules, Brooke Journet, Heather Grogan, Cody DeJean, Gabrielle Green, Gabriel DeJean, Carlon Grogan, Tyler Guidry, Dillion Amos, England Tallmore, Ayden Tallmore, Ethan Huntsberry and Elise Huntsberry; and her seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elliot J. Huntsberry; her parents Red Hebert and Avenilla Schello Hebert; her brothers Earl Hebert and Peter "Black" Hebert; her sister Marjorie Douglas; and her son-in law Kevin Guidry.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jabian Huntsberry, Cody DeJean, Gabriel DeJean, Tyler Guidry, Carlon Grogan, Dillion Amos, Ethan Huntsberry and Ayden Tallmore.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Erick Huntsberry, Barry Herbert, John Henry, Zany DeJean and Andrew Dozier.
