Angelos Dambalas Obituary

Angelos Dambalas, 85, of Millville died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, Pa.

Born in Kavala, Greece, he moved to the United States in 1978. In Greece he was a pasta maker and cook, and in Vineland he was a cook at the Neptune Restaurant for more than 20 years. Angelos enjoyed watching soccer, playing backgammon and drinking spirits with his friends. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather.

He is predeceased by a brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Fotini (Papadaniil) Dambalas of Millville; one son, Konstantinos Dambalas and wife Carolyn of Marlton; one daughter, Koterina Kotopoulos and husband Athanasios of Newtown Square, Pa.; four grandsons, Angelos and Konstantinos Dambalas, Milton and Fotios Kotopoulos; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday at noon at St. Anthony's Greek Orthodox Church, 430 W. Wheat Road, Vineland. Burial will follow in Siloam Cemetery. Friends will be received on Monday from 10 a.m. to noon at the church.

Arrangements are by DeMarco-Luisi Funeral Home, 2755 S. Lincoln Ave., Vineland.
