AGE: 71 • Millville
David Lawrence Simms enjoyed life, kept the faith, fought a good fight, and finished the journey. He went from earth to glory on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, while surrounded by family in Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, NJ.
David was born July 22, 1945 to late Evelyn Brown Simms and Thomas Simms of Cape May, NJ. He was educated in the Atlantic County School System. David worked as a local and long distance truck driver for many years. He was a decorated United States Army veteran, enlisted in 1967 and retired as Sargent in 2005. David met his beloved, Patricia Bowyer, in 1982 and later married, August 4, 1995 and they became a blended family. Together they nurtured ten children.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend David's funeral service 11 AM Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Barr Funeral Home, 2104 E. Main Street, Millville, where there will be a viewing from 10 AM to 11AM. Interment will be in Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery.
