Gloria Gallo Obituary
AGE: 89 • Punta Gorda, FL
Gloria (Martini) Gallo, 89, of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away September 26, 2015.
Gloria was born on December 11, 1925 in Vineland, New Jersey to Frank and Lena (Ruberti) Martini. She worked for Martini Shoes, Kimble Glass and Sears & Roebuck, Co. before retiring in the early '80s to Punta Gorda, Florida. Locally, she was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Gloria and her late husband, Joseph, were avid campers and enjoyed traveling across the country in their RV. They were proud to have visited each of the states, including Alaska and Hawaii.
Gloria was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Joseph Gallo, Sr.; her parents, brothers, George and Harry Martini; and son-in-law, Mark Daubenspeck. She is survived by her children, Joanne Daubenspeck and Joseph (Jackie) Gallo, Jr., both of Punta Gorda, and Wayne (JoAnn) Gallo of Voorhees; grandchildren Christopher (Amanda), Bristow, Sherry (M. Scott)LaBree and Ryan Gallo; great-grandchildren, Anthony, Grace, Kayden and Kamren; and sister-in-law Teresa Tamanini of Vineland.
An internment service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 6 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery chapel, 741 E. Walnut Road, Vineland. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Tidwell Hospice at tidewell.org.
