Guillermina Gomez Obituary
Vineland - Guillermina "Gilly" Gomez, 90, of Vineland, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2021 at home. She was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico in 1930 to Felipe and Ines. She moved to Vineland in 1948 where she lived most of her adult life. She was known by her family and friends as "Jermy". She enjoyed cooking, gardening and spending time talking with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter and caregiver, Lillian Lechuga (Frank); granddaughters, Erika Peterson (Jim), Tiffany Gomez and Gwendolyn Miller; grandsons, Russell Gomez and Richard Gomez; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Carmen Cortes and Ines Bermudez; brothers, Dennis, Felipe and Alfredo Cortes; and many nieces & nephews. "Jermy" was predeceased by her sons, Russell Gomez Sr and Richard Gomez; parents, Felipe and Ines; sister, Milagros Perez; and her brothers, Thomas Cortes And Sergio Cortes. A funeral home visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 from 9am to 11am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am from Rone Funeral Service, 1110 East Chestnut Avenue, Vineland. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Vineland. The funeral home requires that everyone wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
